Receive update information by email

We use an email distribution list (cis-ne@ncl.ac.uk) to circulate occasional information on science-faith issues including updates to material on this site. Messages are usually a small number per month and no recipient sees the email addresses of others in the distribution list, which is managed through a secure Newcastle University system. If you would like to be added to the list, please send a request to bill.clegg@ncl.ac.uk giving your name and preferred email address; you will be asked to provide consent to use of your contact information for this sole purpose under current GDPR rules and you can leave the distribution list at any time with complete removal of this information.

Support Christians in Science: become a Member, Associate or Friend, and affiliate your church

Christians in Science is a registered charity and depends for its work on grants, donations and membership fees. For full information, please see this page of the CiS website: cis.org.uk/join/ which includes short explanations.

There are various levels of involvement:

Standard member of CiS (signing the Statement of Faith): £48 per year, including monthly updates, quarterly newsletters, the journal Science and Christian Belief, reduced conference fees, and voting rights at the AGM; joint membership at the same single rate is available for two people sharing the same home address and receiving one copy of mailed items.

Associate member of CiS (not signing the Statement of Faith): £48 per year, including the same benefits as standard members except voting rights

Full-time student member of CiS: free for the first year, then £10 per year

Early career member of CiS: £20 per year for the first four years after graduation

Friend of CiS: no fee, but you receive regular updates and information and are encouraged to donate financially and support CiS in prayer

Church affiliation: providing a welcome pack, regular communications and updates, a quarterly newsletter, access to a range of resources, guidance and advice; it is recommended that an affiliated church has a nominated representative as a point of contact and engagement with the church leadership, and regular financial donations commensurate with the size of the church are encouraged together with prayer support at congregational level
